Then Saul said to Samuel: I did obey the voice of Jehovah. I went on the mission Jehovah sent me. I brought back Agag the king of Amalek. I have utterly destroyed the Amalekites.

If You, Jehovah, should record our sins, O Jehovah, who could stand?

If a man commits adultery with the wife of an Israelite, both he and the woman should be put to death.

Murderers must be put to death. They cannot escape this penalty by the payment of money.

You do not desire sacrifice. Otherwise, I would offer one to you. You are not pleased with burnt offerings.

You should know, men and brothers that it is through this man Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you.

Who will bring any charge against the ones God has chosen? It is God who justifies (makes righteous).
