So the king returned to Israel as far as the Jordan River.

Then the LORD told Joshua, "Today I have rolled the disgrace of Egypt away from you." That's why that place is called "Gilgal" to this day.

Then Samuel told the people, "Come, let's go to Gilgal and reaffirm the kingship there."
