David left Hebron and moved to Jerusalem. He married many women from Jerusalem, and he had a lot of children.

All these were the sons of David, besides his sons by his concubines. And Tamar was their sister.

He must not take many wives or his heart will turn astray. He must not accumulate large amounts of silver and gold.

Abraham left everything he owned to Isaac.

In Jerusalem David took more wives and became the father of more sons and daughters.

Rehoboam married Mahalath, daughter of Jerimoth. Jerimoth was the son of David and Abihail. Abihail was the daughter of Eliab, son of Jesse.

Abijah became strong. He married fourteen wives and fathered twenty-two sons and sixteen daughters.

And David took him more concubines and wives out of Jerusalem, after he was come from Hebron: and there were yet sons and daughters born to David.
