The kindness of god

And because He loved your fathers, therefore He chose their seed after them, and brought you out in His sight with His mighty power out of Egypt,

Only Jehovah had a delight in your fathers to love them, and He chose their seed after them, you above all people, as it is today.

And you shall not only show me the kindness of Jehovah while I still live, so that I do not die,

But I say to you, Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who despitefully use you and persecute you,

Therefore be merciful, even as your Father is merciful.

For we ourselves also were once foolish, disobedient, deceived, slaving for various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, hating one another.

Yet a son

And Jonathan, Saul's son, had a son who was lame in his feet. He was five years old when the news of Saul and Jonathan came out of Jezreel, and his nurse took him up and fled. And as she made haste to flee he fell and became lame. And his name was Mephibosheth.

And he answered, My lord, O, king, my servant deceived me. For your servant said, I will saddle me an ass so that I may ride on it and go to the king, because your servant is lame.
