The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord Jehovah is upon me, because Jehovah has anointed me to announce good news to the lowly and meek. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to captives and freedom to prisoners.

Arise and go to the great city, Nineveh. Proclaim to it the proclamation I give you.

The Spirit of Jehovah is upon me. He anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind. To set at liberty those who are bruised.

Let the dead bury the dead. You go and publish abroad the kingdom of God. Jesus replied.

How will they preach unless they have been sent? Just as it is written: How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace and who bring good tidings of good things! For they proclaim salvation and say to Zion: Your God reigns as king! (Hebrew: Elohiym' malak': God rules!) (Isaiah 52:7)

God gave me this stewardship to perform for your good. He has made me a servant of the congregation. It is for the task of fully proclaiming the word of God.

Reprove

We preach Christ to everyone. With all possible wisdom we warn and teach them in order to bring each one to God as a mature individual in union with Christ.

You know how we dealt with each one of you. It was like a father with his own children, exhorting you, and encouraging and showing you.

We ask you brothers to warn the unruly and comfort the fainthearted, support the weak, be patient with all men.

This testimony is true. For this cause reprove them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith,

Speak and exhort and reprove these things with all authority. Let no man despise you.

I urge you, brothers, bear with the word of exhortation. I have written to you in few words.

I reprove and discipline those whom I love: be zealous therefore, and repent.

If anyone cleanses himself from these things, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified, useful to the Master, prepared for every good work.
