And Simeon blessed them, and said to Mary his mother, Behold, this child is appointed for the fall and rising of many in Israel, and for a sign that will be spoken against;

When a strong man armed guardeth his palace, his goods are in peace;

Think ye that I came to give peace in the earth? I tell you, nay, but rather division.

So there was a division among the multitude because of him.

But the apostles, Barnabas and Paul, when they heard of it, rent their garments, and rushed forth to the multitude, crying out

And while they were ministering to the Lord, and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.

Have we not a right to carry about with us a sister as a wife, as well as the other apostles, and the brothers of the Lord, and Cephas?
