Right now, however, I'm going to Jerusalem to minister to the saints,

Then fourteen years later, I again went up to Jerusalem with Barnabas, taking Titus with me.

Because they had been prevented by the Holy Spirit from speaking the word in Asia, Paul and Timothy went through the region of Phrygia and Galatia.

As he told them goodbye, he said, "I will come back to you again if it is God's will." Then he set sail from Ephesus.

And now, compelled by the Spirit, I am on my way to Jerusalem, not knowing what will happen to me there,

Who can command, and it happens, without the Lord having ordered it?

Because I was confident, I planned to come to you first so you might receive a double blessing.

As he told them goodbye, he said, "I will come back to you again if it is God's will." Then he set sail from Ephesus.

That night the Lord stood near Paul and said, "Have courage! For just as you have testified about me in Jerusalem, you must testify in Rome, too."

But Paul said, "I am standing before the emperor's judgment seat where I ought to be tried. I haven't done anything wrong to the Jewish leaders, as you know very well.

When it was decided that we should sail to Italy, Paul and some other prisoners were transferred to a centurion named Julius, who belonged to the emperor's division.

When we came into Rome, Paul was allowed to live by himself with the soldier who was guarding him.

That is why I am so eager to proclaim the gospel to you who live in Rome, too.

But now, having no further opportunities in these regions, I want to come to you, as I've desired to do for many years.

Now I want you to know, brothers, that what has happened to me has actually caused the gospel to advance.
