And in Hades he looked up, in constant tortures as he was, and saw Abraham far away and Lazarus his bosom companion.

O Death, where is your victory now? O Death, where is your sting?"

yea, the ever-living One. I once was dead, but now I live forever and ever. I carry the keys of death and the underworld.

The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and the underworld gave up the dead that were in them, and they were all judged in accordance with what they had done.

Yes, you disowned the Holy and Righteous One and asked a murderer to be pardoned as a favor to you,

"For in this city they actually met against your holy Servant Jesus, whom you had consecrated -- Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the heathen and the peoples of Israel,

"What do you want of us, Jesus, you Nazarene? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are, God's Holy One!"

Then the angel answered her, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you, and so your child will be called holy, the Son of God.

"Ha! What do you want of us, Jesus, you Nazarene? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are. You are God's Holy One."

But you have been anointed by the Holy One. You all know the truth;

To see

he foresaw the resurrection of the Christ and told of it, for He was not forsaken to Hades, and His body did not undergo decay.

in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the sound of the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised with bodies not subject to decay, and we shall be changed.
