Acts 2:34

Treasury of Scripture Knowledge

For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,

A Davidic psalm.This is the declaration of the Lord
to my Lord:
“Sit at My right hand
until I make Your enemies Your footstool.”

“What do you think about the Messiah? Whose Son is He?”

“David’s,” they told Him.

David himself says by the Holy Spirit:

The Lord

declared to my Lord,

‘Sit at My right hand

until I put Your enemies under Your feet.’

For David himself says in the Book of Psalms:

The Lord declared to my Lord,
‘Sit at My right hand

For He must reign until He puts all His enemies under His feet.

And He put everything under His feet

and appointed Him as head over everything for the church,

Now to which of the angels has He ever said:

Sit at My right hand
until I make Your enemies Your footstool?

so they may know that this is Your hand
and that You, Lord, have done it.

This came from the Lord

and is wonderful in our eyes?”

For He must reign until He puts all His enemies under His feet.

But this man, after offering one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God.
