We went ahead to the ship and set sail for Assos. We intended to take Paul on board for he had arranged to go there on foot.

I will return again to you if it is God's will, Paul said. Then he set sail from Ephesus.

After this ended Paul was directed in the spirit to go to Jerusalem after he passed through Macedonia and Achaia. He said: After I have been there, I must also see Rome.
