I commend

When they had appointed elders in every church and prayed with fasting, they committed them to the Lord in whom they had believed.

Then Paul chose Silas and departed, after being commended to the grace of the Lord by the brothers.

for the training of the saints in the work of ministry, to build up the body of Christ,

rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, overflowing with gratitude.

But you, dear friends, as you build yourselves up in your most holy faith and pray in the Holy Spirit,

And to give

to open their eyes so they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that by faith in Me they may receive forgiveness of sins and a share among those who are sanctified.’

and give you a desirable land,
the most beautiful inheritance of all the nations.
I thought: You will call Me, my Father,
and never turn away from Me.

I pray that the perception of your mind may be enlightened so you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the glorious riches of His inheritance among the saints,

giving thanks to the Father, who has enabled you to share in the saints’ inheritance in the light.

knowing that you will receive the reward of an inheritance from the Lord. You serve the Lord Christ.

Therefore, He is the mediator of a new covenant,

so that those who are called might receive the promise of the eternal inheritance, because a death has taken place for redemption from the transgressions committed under the first covenant.

and into an inheritance that is imperishable, uncorrupted, and unfading, kept in heaven for you.

Which are

To God’s church at Corinth, to those who are sanctified in Christ Jesus and called as saints, with all those in every place who call on the name of Jesus Christ our Lord—both their Lord and ours.

And some of you used to be like this. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

For the One who sanctifies and those who are sanctified all have one Father. That is why Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers,

For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are sanctified.
