Peter started at the beginning and explained what happened.

The congregation gathered and reported all God had done with them how he had opened the door of faith to the nations.

Then they went to Jerusalem where the apostles and elders and congregation greeted them. They declared all the things that God had done for them.

I will not dare to speak of any of those things that Christ has not accomplished through me. I will lead the nations to obey God in word and deed.

Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom you believed, even as the Lord gave to every man?

By the divine influence of God I am what I am. His grace was not given to me in vain for I labored more than all of them. Yet it was not I. It was the divine influence and favor of God in me.

Working together with him we plead with you not to receive the grace of God in vain (to no purpose) (in emptiness).

I work hard to get this done. I use the mighty strength Christ supplies. It is at work in me.

He was numbered among us, and shared in this ministry.

I do not consider my life of any account. It is not dear to me so that I may finish the race, and I may accomplish the ministry I received from the Lord Jesus, to preach the good news of the grace of God.

Truly the signs of an apostle were accomplished among you in all patience, in signs, and wonders, and mighty deeds.
