But the Lord said to him, “Go! For this man is My chosen instrument to take My name to Gentiles, kings, and the Israelites.

In the church that was at Antioch there were prophets and teachers: Barnabas, Simeon who was called Niger, Lucius the Cyrenian, Manaen, a close friend of Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.

Then he said, ‘The God of our fathers has appointed you to know His will, to see the Righteous One, and to hear the sound of His voice.

For he was one of our number and was allotted a share in this ministry.”

But we will devote ourselves to prayer and to the preaching ministry.”

But I count my life of no value to myself, so that I may finish my course and the ministry I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of God’s grace.

After greeting them, he related in detail what God did among the Gentiles through his ministry.

We have received grace and apostleship through Him to bring about the obedience of faith among all the nations,

on behalf of His name,

to be a minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles, serving as a priest of God’s good news. My purpose is that the offering of the Gentiles may be acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.

Therefore, since we have this ministry because we were shown mercy, we do not give up.

Everything is from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation:

I was made a servant of this gospel by the gift of God’s grace that was given to me by the working of His power.

You learned this from Epaphras, our dearly loved fellow slave. He is a faithful servant of the Messiah on your behalf,

And we sent Timothy, our brother and God’s coworker in the gospel of Christ, to strengthen and encourage you concerning your faith,

I give thanks to Christ Jesus our Lord who has strengthened me, because He considered me faithful, appointing me to the ministry—

If you point these things out to the brothers, you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus, nourished by the words of the faith and the good teaching that you have followed.

But as for you, be serious about everything, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.

Boasting is necessary. It is not profitable, but I will move on to visions and revelations of the Lord.

For I did not receive it from a human source and I was not taught it, but it came by a revelation from Jesus Christ.

I went up according to a revelation and presented to them the gospel I preach among the Gentiles—but privately to those recognized as leaders—so that I might not be running, or have run the race, in vain.
