And he shook off the beast into the fire, and felt no harm.

Then the Lord sent poisonous

snakes among the people, and they bit them so that many Israelites died.

You will tread on the lion and the cobra;
you will trample the young lion and the serpent.

they will pick up snakes;

if they should drink anything deadly, it will never harm them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will get well.”

Look, I have given you the authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy; nothing will ever harm you.

Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up,

The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you.

Then locusts came out of the smoke on to the earth, and power was given to them like the power that scorpions have on the earth.
