Moses

The patriarchs became jealous of Joseph and sold him into slavery in Egypt. But God was with him,

But his countrymen hated him, and they sent a delegation after him to say, 'We do not want this man made king over us.'

Then they shouted back, "No! Not him, but Barabbas!" Now Barabbas was a robber.

At that they shouted, "Kill him! Kill him! Have him crucified!" Pilate said to them, "Am I to crucify your king?" The high priests answered, "We have no king but the emperor!"

"Therefore the whole nation of Israel must understand that God has declared this Jesus whom you crucified both Lord and Christ."

Moses said, 'The Lord God will raise up a prophet for you from among your brothers, as he raised me up. You must listen to everything that he tells you.

God took him up to his right hand as our leader and savior, in order to give repentance and forgiveness of sins to Israel.

and they were singing the song of Moses, the slave of God, and the song of the Lamb: "Great and marvelous are your doings, Lord God Almighty! Upright and true are your ways, King of the Ages!
