These were the noblest of birth among them of Thessalonica, which received the word with all diligence of mind, and searched the scriptures daily whether those things were even so.

And these words which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart.

Put up, therefore, these my words in your hearts and in your souls, and bind them for a sign unto your hands, and let them be as papers of remembrance between your eyes,

And when he is sitten upon the seat of his kingdom, he shall write him out this second law in a book; taking a copy of the priests' the Levites'.

Let not the book of this law depart out of thy mouth: but record therein day and night that thou mayest be circumspect to do according to all that is written therein. For then shalt thou make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have understanding.

But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and in his law will he exercise himself, day and night.

I have more understanding than all my teachers; for thy testimonies are my study.

My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and keep my commandments by thee,

O give ear unto nurture, be wise, and refuse it not.

Search the scriptures: for in them, ye think ye have eternal life; and they are they which testify of me.

Let the word of Christ dwell in you plenteously in all wisdom. Teach and exhort your own selves, in psalms, and hymns, and spiritual songs which have favour with them, singing in your hearts to the Lord.

And forasmuch also as thou hast known holy scripture of a child, which is able to make thee wise unto salvation through the faith, which is in Christ Jesus.
