While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, "Set Barnabas and Saul apart for me to do the work for which I called them."

"I knew you before I formed you in the womb; I set you apart for me before you were born; I appointed you to be a prophet to the nations."

"You have not chosen me, but I have chosen you. I have appointed you to go and produce fruit that will last, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he will give it to you.

From: Paul, a servant of Jesus the Messiah, called to be an apostle and set apart for God's gospel,

A potter has the right to do what he wants to with his clay, doesn't he? He can make something for a special occasion or something for ordinary use from the same lump of clay.

From: Paul an apostle not sent from men or by a man, but by Jesus the Messiah, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead

For the sake of this gospel I was appointed to be a preacher, an apostle, and a teacher of the gentiles.

No one serving in the military gets mixed up in civilian matters, for his aim is to please his commanding officer.

They will wage war against the lamb, but the lamb will conquer them because he is Lord of lords and King of kings. Those who are called, chosen, and faithful are with him."

To bear

After greeting them, Paul related one by one the things that God had done among the gentiles through his ministry.

"Then he told me, "Go, because I'll send you far away to the gentiles.'"

I'll continue to rescue you from your people and from the gentiles to whom I'm sending you.

Through him we received grace and a commission as an apostle to bring about faithful obedience among all the gentiles for the sake of his name.

I am speaking to you gentiles. Because I am an apostle to the gentiles, I magnify my ministry

However, on some points I have written to you rather boldly, both as a reminder to you and because of the grace given me by God

But by God's grace I am what I am, and his grace shown to me was not wasted. Instead, I worked harder than all the others not I, of course, but God's grace that was with me.

In fact, they saw that I had been entrusted with the gospel for the uncircumcised, just as Peter had been entrusted with the gospel for the circumcised.

I have become a servant of this gospel according to the gift of God's grace that was given me by the working of his power.

I became its servant as God commissioned me to work for you, so that I may complete my ministry of the word of God.

For this reason I was appointed to be an announcer, an apostle, and a faithful and true teacher of the gentiles. (I am telling you the truth. I am not lying.)

Agrippa told Festus, "I would like to hear the man." "Tomorrow," he said, "you will hear him."

Then Agrippa told Paul, "You have permission to speak for yourself." So Paul stretched out his hand and began his defense.

and said, "Stop being afraid, Paul! You must stand before the emperor. Indeed, God has given to you the lives of everyone who is sailing with you.'

You will be brought before governors and kings because of me, to testify to them and to unbelievers.

At my first trial no one came to my defense. Everyone abandoned me. May it not be held against them!

The children

Three days later, Paul called the leaders of the Jews together. When they assembled, he told them, "Brothers, although I haven't done anything against our people or the customs of our ancestors, I was arrested in Jerusalem and handed over to the Romans.
