Then Peter observing it, addressed himself to the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why gaze ye upon us, as if by our own power or piety we had enabled this man to walk?

And last of all he was seen also by me, who am but as an abortion.

But

And except those days were shortened, there would be no flesh saved: but for the elect's sake these days shall be shortened.

And except the Lord had shortened the days, no flesh would have been preserved: but for the sake of those elect, whom he hath elected, he hath shortened the days.

But we know that to those who love God all things work together for good, even to those who are called according to his purpose.

Wherefore let no man glory in men. For all things are your's;

For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace, through the thanksgiving of more persons, may more abound to the glory of God.
