So he came near where I stood: and when he came, I was afraid, and fell upon my face: but he said to me, Understand, O son of man: for at the time of the end shall be the vision.

And both these kings hearts shall be to do mischief, and they shall speak lies at one table; but it shall not prosper: for yet the end shall be at the time appointed.

And he said, Go thy way Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.

My cogitations

I Daniel was grieved in my spirit in the midst of my body, and the visions of my head troubled me.

And I Daniel fainted, and was sick certain days; afterward I rose, and did the king's business; and I was astonished at the vision, but none understood it.

Therefore I was left alone, and saw this great vision, and there remained no strength in me: for my comeliness was turned in me into corruption, and I retained no strength.

And he told it to his father, and to his brethren: and his father rebuked him, and said to him, what is this dream that thou hast dreamed? Shall I and thy mother and thy brethren indeed come to bow down ourselves to thee to the earth?

And immediately all the people, when they beheld him, were greatly amazed, and running to him, saluted him.

But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart.

Let these sayings sink down into your ears: for the Son of man will be delivered into the hands of men.
