Daniel 8:16

The angel replied, "I am Gabriel, I stand before God; I have been sent to speak to you and to tell you this good news.

In the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a town in Galilee called Nazaret,

His fellow-travellers stood speechless, for they heard the voice but they could not see anyone.

A voice came to him, "Rise, Peter, kill and eat."

Are not all angels merely spirits in the divine service, commissioned for the benefit of those who are to inherit salvation?

So I turned to see whose voice it was that spoke to me; and on turning round I saw seven golden lampstands

"I Jesus have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches; I am the Scion and offspring of David, the bright star of the morning.

And I heard a man's voice between the banks of Ulai, which called, and said, Gabriel, make this man to understand the vision.
