Here is a secret truth for you: not all of us are to die, but all of us are to be changed ??52 changed in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet-call. The trumpet will sound, the dead will rise imperishable, and we shall be changed.

After this Jesus went off to the opposite side of the sea of Galilee (the lake of Tiberias),

So God has given them up, in their heart's lust, to sexual vice, to the dishonouring of their own bodies, ??25 since they have exchanged the truth of God for an untruth, worshipping and serving the creature rather than the Creator who is blessed for ever: Amen.

For I was overjoyed when some brothers arrived and testified to the truth of your life, as indeed you do lead the true Life;

Now six stone water-jars were standing there, for the Jewish rites of 'purification,' each holding about twenty gallons.

Then they reached the opposite side of the sea, the country of the Gerasenes.

Or is he speaking purely for our sakes? Assuredly for our sakes. This word was written for us, because the ploughman needs to plough in hope, and the thresher to thresh in the hope of getting a share in the crop.

On being asked by the Pharisees when the Reign of God was coming, he answered them, "The Reign of God is not coming as you hope to catch sight of it;

and when the disciples recalled what he had said, after he had been raised from the dead, they believed the scripture and the word of Jesus.

Now the Pharisees gathered to meet him, with some scribes who had come from Jerusalem.

(Saul quite approved of his murder.) That day a severe persecution broke out against the church in Jerusalem, and everyone, with the exception of the apostles, was scattered over Judaea and Samaria.
