Treasury of Scripture Knowledge
“You must not exploit a foreign resident
or oppress him, since you were foreigners in the land of Egypt.
“When a foreigner lives with you in your land, you must not oppress
But love your enemies, do what is good, and lend, expecting nothing in return. Then your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High. For He is gracious to the ungrateful and evil.
“You’ve answered correctly,” He told him. “Do this and you will live.”
Didn’t any return to give glory to God except this foreigner?”
Therefore, as we have opportunity, we must work
for the good of all, especially for those who belong to the household of faith.
If a brother or sister is without clothes and lacks daily food
1 John 3:17
If anyone has this world’s goods
and sees his brother in need but closes his eyes to his need—how can God’s love reside in him?
