Deuteronomy 2:26

So I sent messengers out of the desert of Kademoth, unto Sihon, king of Heshbon, - with words of peace saying:

and Jahaz and Kedemoth and Maphaath;

When thou shalt come nigh unto a city, to fight against it, - then shalt thou proclaim unto it - peace,

Kedemoth, with her pasture land and Mephaath, with her pasture land, - four cities.

and he sent letters unto all the Jews, throughout the hundred and twenty-seven provinces of the kingdom of Ahasuerus, - words of peace and stability:

And, as ye enter the house, salute it;

And, into whatsoever house ye enter, First, say, Peace to this house!

But, into whatsoever city ye shall enter, and they do not welcome you, going forth into the broadways thereof, say ye:
