Finish paying all the tithe of your increase in the third year, the year of tithing. Then you shall give it to the Levite, the stranger, and the orphan and to the widow, that they may eat in your towns and be satisfied.

This food is for the Levites, since they own no property, and for the foreigners, orphans, and widows who live in your towns. They are to come and get all they need. Do this, and Jehovah your God will bless you in everything you do.

When you reap your harvest in your field and have forgotten a sheaf in the field, you shall not go back to get it. It shall be for the alien, for the orphan, and for the widow, in order that Jehovah your God may bless you in all the work of your hands.

If I have withheld anything that the poor desired, or have caused the eyes of the widow to fail,

I have not

I have kept the ways of Jehovah and I have not wickedly turned away from my God.

([Psalm of David]) Vindicate me, O Jehovah, because I have walked with (a life-style of) integrity and I have trusted you without wavering.

I exercise myself always, to have a conscience void of offense toward God and toward men.

This is our pride and testimony of conscience. In holiness and Godly sincerity we behaved ourselves in the world, and more abundantly toward you. It was not by fleshly wisdom but by the grace of God.

The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which is blessed forever knows I do not lie.

You and God are witnesses, how devoutly and righteously, without blame, we behaved toward you who believe!

Whoever has this world's goods and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his compassion from him, how does the love of God dwell in him?

I will never forget your precepts. By them you have revived me.

My son, do not forget my law. Let your heart obey my commandments.
