Deuteronomy 27:13

Blessings And Curses

¹² These, shall stand to bless the people upon Mount Gerizim, when ye have passed over the Jordan, - Simeon and Levi and Judah, and Issachar and Joseph and Benjamin; ¹³ and, these, shall stand by the curse in Mount Ebal, - Reuben Gad and Asher, and Zebulun Dan and Naphtali. ¹⁴ Then shall the Levites respond and say unto every man of Israel with voice uplifted: -

Asher

Dan

Ebal

Gad

Naphtali

Reuben

Zebulon

Zebulun

Genesis 29:32

So Leah conceived, and hare a son, and called his name Reuben, - for she said, Because, Yahweh hath looked upon my humiliation, For, now, will my husband love me.

Deuteronomy 11:29

And it shall come to pass when Yahweh thy God shall bring thee into the land which thou art entering to possess, then shalt thou put the blessing, upon Mount Gerizim, and the curse, upon Mount Ebal.

Deuteronomy 27:4

So then it shall be when ye shall pass over the Jordan, that ye shall rear up these stones which I am commanding you to-day in Mount Ebal, - and thou shalt plaster them with plaster.

Joshua 8:33

And, all Israel, and their elders and officers, and their judges, were standing on this side and on that side of the ark, before the priests the Levites, who were bearing the ark of the covenant of Yahweh, as well the sojourner as the home-born, half of them over against Mount Gerizim, and half of them over against Mount Ebal, - as Moses the servant of Yahweh commanded to bless the sons of Israel, first of all.
