And it came to pass in the fortieth year, in the eleventh month, on the first day of the month, that Moses spoke unto the children of Israel, according unto all that the LORD had given him in commandment unto them;

And you shall remember all the way which the LORD your God led you these forty years in the wilderness, to humble you, and to test you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep his commandments, or not.

Your clothes

Your clothing grew not old upon you, neither did your foot swell, these forty years.

Yea, forty years did you sustain them in the wilderness, so that they lacked nothing; their clothes grew not old, and their feet swelled not.

Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, How shall we be clothed?

And thy shoe

And old patched shoes upon their feet, and old garments upon them; and all the bread of their provision was dry and moldy.

Nor bag for your journey, neither two coats, neither shoes, nor yet a staff: for the workman is worthy of his food.
