Deuteronomy 34:8

So the sons of Israel wept for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days. Then the days of weeping and mourning for Moses came to an end.

It took forty days, which is the normal time for embalming. The Egyptians mourned for him seventy days.

They mourned loudly for a long time at the threshing place at Atad east of the Jordan. Joseph performed mourning ceremonies for seven days.

The entire congregation learned that Aaron had died. They all mourned for him for thirty days.

Samuel died. All Israel gathered to mourn him. They buried him at his home in Ramah. Then David went to the desert of Paran.

The righteous perishes and no man takes it to heart. Merciful men are taken away, while no one considers that the righteous is taken away from evil.

Devout men buried Stephen and mourned him greatly.
