When thou

and has gone and served other gods and worshiped them, either the sun, or moon, or any of the host of heaven, which I have not commanded,

And the king commanded Hilkiah the high priest, and the priests of the second order, and the doorkeepers, to bring forth out of the temple of Jehovah all the vessels which were made for Baal, and for the Asherah, and for all the host of heaven. You, even You, are Jehovah alone. You have made the heavens, heaven of the heavens, with all their host, the earth, and all things on it, the seas, and all in them, and You preserve them all. And the host of the heavens worships You.

The day is Yours, the night also is Yours; You have prepared the light and the sun.

To Him who made great lights; for His mercy endures forever.

Praise Him, sun and moon; praise Him, all stars of light.

So says Jehovah, who gives the sun for a light by day and the laws of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, who divides the sea when its waves roar; Jehovah of Hosts is His name;

So says Jehovah: If My covenant is not with day and night, and if I have not given the ordinances of the heavens and the earth,

so that you may become sons of your Father in Heaven. For He makes His sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.
