Deuteronomy 9:8

And at Horeb (Sinai) you provoked the Lord to wrath, and the Lord was so angry with you that He would have destroyed you.

Then the Lord said to Moses, “Go down at once, for your people, whom you brought up from the land of Egypt, have corrupted themselves.

The tablets were the work of God; the writing was the writing of God engraved on the tablets.

And worshiped a cast image.
