Who knows what is good for man in this life? Are all the days of his vain life that he spends like a shadow? Who can tell a man what will happen after his existence under the sun?

I say: O my God, do not take me away in the middle of my days, your years are throughout all generations.

You established the earth upon its foundations, so that it will not be unstable forever.

Your faithfulness is throughout all generations. You established the earth, and it stands.

Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.

The day of Jehovah will come as a thief. The heavens will pass away with a great noise. The elements shall be dissolved with intense heat. And the earth and the works in it will be burned up (destroyed). (Joel 2:31) (Zephaniah 1:14)
