Ecclesiastes 7:22

Treasury of Scripture Knowledge

For oftentimes also thine own heart knoweth that thou thyself likewise hast cursed others.

Then the king said to Shimei, "You are well aware of the way you mistreated my father David. The Lord will punish you for what you did.

For out of the heart come evil ideas, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander.

Then his lord called the first slave and said to him, 'Evil slave! I forgave you all that debt because you begged me!

When they persisted in asking him, he stood up straight and replied, "Whoever among you is guiltless may be the first to throw a stone at her."

With it we bless the Lord and Father, and with it we curse people made in God's image.

David said to Saul, "Why do you pay attention when men say, 'David is seeking to do you harm'?
