And so, as they did not approve of fully recognizing God any longer, God gave them up to minds that He did not approve, to practices that were improper;

So, although through union with Christ I have full freedom to order you to do your duty,

But

and always be speaking to one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs. Keep on praying and praising the Lord with all your heart;

never cease to thank God for you when I mention you in my prayers,

because you are helping me by your prayers for me, so that thanks to God will be given by many on my behalf for God's gracious gift to me in answer to the prayers of many.

Thank God for His unspeakable gift!

Stop being worried about anything, but always, in prayer and entreaty, and with thanksgiving, keep on making your wants known to God.

Let the peace that Christ can give keep on acting as umpire in your hearts, for you were called to this state as members of one body. And practice being thankful.

For how can I render God enough thanks for you, for all the joy I have on account of you in the presence of our God,

Make it a habit to give thanks for everything, for this is God's will for you through Christ Jesus.

So then, through Christ, let us always offer God the sacrifice of praise; that is, the speech of lips that glorify the name of God.
