I am

We are therefore ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making his appeal through us. We beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.

Bonds

For this reason I, Paul, am the prisoner of Christ Jesus for the sake of you Gentiles

I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of the calling to which you have been called,

And Paul said, "Whether in a short or a long time, I would to God that not only you but also all who hear me this day might become such as I amexcept for these chains."

For this reason therefore I have asked to see you and speak with you, since it is because of the hope of Israel that I am bound with this chain."

For it is only right for me to feel this way about you all, because I have you in my heart, since both in my imprisonment and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel, you all are partakers of grace with me.

May the Lord grant mercy to the household of Onesiphorus, for he often refreshed me and was not ashamed of my chains;

for which I am suffering even to the point of wearing chains like a criminal. But the word of God is not chained.

10 I appeal to you for my child, Onesimus, whose father I have become in my imprisonment.

and also pray for me, that in the opening of my mouth, utterance may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel,

as it is my eager expectation and hope that I will not be ashamed in anything, but that with full courage now as always Christ will be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death.

but after we had already suffered and been shamefully treated in Philippi, as you know, we had the boldness in our God to speak to you the gospel of God in the face of great opposition.

By this we know love, that he laid down his life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

Beloved, although I was very eager to write you about our common salvation, I felt the necessity to write to you appealing that you contend for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints.
