A copy of the writing, to be delivered as an edict throughout every province, was published to all the peoples, - that they should be ready against this day.

To charge

For how can I endure to see the ruin that shall overtake my people? or how can I endure to see the destruction of my kindred?

and said unto the king - Let the, king, unto times age-abiding, live! Wherefore should my countenance, not be sad, when, the city - the place of the sepulchres of my fathers, lieth waste, and the gates thereof are consumed with fire?

Like channels of water, is the heart of a king, in the hand of Yahweh, - whithersoever he will, he turneth it.
