On that same day King Ahasuerus gave the house of Haman, the Jews' enemy, unto Esther, the queen. And Mordecai came before the king, for Esther had told what he was unto her.
And he had brought up Hadassah, that is, Esther, his uncle's daughter; for she had neither father nor mother, and the maid was fair and beautiful; and as her father and mother were dead, Mordecai had taken her for his own daughter.
Now when the turn of Esther, the daughter of Abihail, the uncle of Mordecai, who had taken her for his daughter, was come to go in unto the king, she required nothing but what Hegai, the king's eunuch, the keeper of the women, appointed. And Esther obtained grace in the sight of all those that looked upon her.
Then Esther said, The man who is the adversary and enemy is this wicked Haman. Then Haman was afraid before the king and the queen.
and the next to him was Carshena, Shethar, Admatha, Tarshish, Meres, Marsena, and Memucan, seven princes of Persia and Media, who saw the king's face, and who sat first in the kingdom;)
Though he heaps up silver as the dust and prepares raiment as the clay,
Surely man walks in darkness; surely they are disquieted in vain; they heap up riches not knowing who shall gather them.
Those that trust in their wealth and boast themselves in the multitude of their riches;
A good man shall leave an inheritance to his children's children, and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just.
He that by usury and unjust gain increases his substance, he shall gather it for him that will pity the poor.
Yea, I hated all my labour which I had taken under the sun, which I should leave it unto the man that shall be after me.
