And Moses stretched forth his rod over the land of Egypt, and the LORD brought an east wind upon the land, all that day and all night. And in the morning the east wind brought the grasshoppers,

And that seven thin ears, blasted with the wind, sprang up after them:

When now Moses stretched forth his hand over the sea, the LORD carried away the sea with a strong east wind that blew all night, and made the sea dry land and the water divided itself.

He caused the east wind to blow under the heaven, and through his power he brought in the southwest wind.

He spake the word, and the grasshoppers came, and caterpillars innumerable,

For at his word, the stormy wind ariseth, and lifteth up the waves thereof.

fire and hail, snow and vapors, wind and storm, fulfilling his word;

But the LORD hurled a great wind in to the sea, so that there was a mighty tempest in the sea: insomuch that the ship was like to go in pieces.

And as soon as the sun was up, God prepared a fervent east wind: so that the sun beat over the head of Jonah, that he fainted again and wished unto his soul that he might die, and said, "It is better for me to die than to live."

And the men marveled and said, "What man is this, that both winds and sea obey him?"
