I will appoint

select certain cities to be places of refuge. Anyone who unintentionally kills another person may run to them.

Moses set aside three cities on the east side of the Jordan.

When Jehovah your God destroys all the nations that are living in the land that he gives you. you will force them out and live in their cities and houses.

Speak to the children of Israel and say: Designate cities of refuge just as Moses directed.
