Then I said, "O woe is me! For I am lost: inasmuch as I am a man of unclean lips, and dwell among people that hath unclean lips also. For mine eyes have seen the King and LORD of Hosts."

And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel, "for I have seen God face to face, and yet is my life reserved."

and saw the God of Israel, and under his feet as it were a brick work of sapphire, and as it were the fashion of heaven when it is clear,

and ye said, 'Behold, the LORD our God hath showed us his glory and his greatness, and we have heard his voice out of the fire, and we have seen this day that God may talk with a man and he yet live.

And when Gideon perceived that it was an angel, he said, "Alas my Lord Jehovah, that I have seen an angel of the LORD face to face."

and said unto his wife, "We shall surely die, because we have seen God!"

No man hath seen God at any time. The only begotten son, which is in the father's bosom, hath declared him.

which only hath immortality, and dwelleth in light that no man can attain, whom never man saw, neither can see: unto whom be honour and rule everlasting. Amen.

Unto which of the angels said he at any time, "Sit on my right hand till I make thine enemies thy footstool?"

And he had in his right hand seven stars. And out of his mouth went a sharp two edged sword. And his face shone even as the sun in his strength.
