Preparation Of Materials And People For Building

1 Then Moses assembled all the congregation of the sons of Israel, and said to them, “(A)These are the things that the Lord has commanded you to (a)do:

1 And Moses gathered all the congregation of the children of Israel together, and said unto them, These are the words which the LORD hath commanded, that ye should do them.

1 Moses gathered all the congregation of the sons of Israel together, and said to them, “These are the things which the Lord has commanded you to do:

2 (B)For six days work may be done, but on the seventh day you shall have a holy day, (C)a sabbath of complete rest to the Lord; (D)whoever does any work on it shall be put to death.

2 Six days shall work be done, but on the seventh day there shall be to you an holy day, a sabbath of rest to the LORD: whosoever doeth work therein shall be put to death.

2 For six days work is to be done, but on the seventh day you are to have a holy day, a Sabbath(B) of complete rest to the Lord. Anyone who does work on it must be executed.

Building The Tabernacle

4 Moses spoke to all the congregation of the sons of Israel, saying, “This is the thing which the Lord has commanded, saying,

5 (F)Take from among you a (b)contribution to the Lord; whoever is of a willing heart, let him bring it as the Lord’s (c)contribution: gold, silver, and (d)bronze,

5 Take ye from among you an offering unto the LORD: whosoever is of a willing heart, let him bring it, an offering of the LORD; gold, and silver, and brass,

5 Take(D) up an offering among you for the Lord. Let everyone whose heart is willing bring this as the Lord’s offering: gold, silver, and bronze;

5 "Take from among yourselves an offering for the LORD. Everyone whose heart is willing is to bring as an offering for the LORD: gold, silver, and bronze;

8 and oil for lighting, and spices for the anointing oil, and for the fragrant incense,

8 oil for the light; spices for the anointing oil and for the fragrant incense;

8 oil for lighting, spices for the anointing oil and for aromatic incense,

8 and [olive] oil for the lighting, and balsam for the anointing oil, and for the fragrant incense,

9 and onyx stones and setting stones for the ephod and for the (g)breastpiece.

11 the tabernacle—its tent and covering, its clasps and planks, its crossbars, its posts and bases;

18 the pegs of the tabernacle and the pegs of the court and their cords;

18 the tent pegs for the tabernacle and the tent pegs for the courtyard, along with their ropes;

18 the pegs for the tent, the pegs for the court, and their cords,

18 the pegs of the tabernacle and the pegs of the court and their cords;

19 the (r)(Q)woven garments for ministering in the holy place, the holy garments for Aaron the priest and the garments of his sons, to minister as priests.’”

19 The cloths of service, to do service in the holy place, the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments of his sons, to minister in the priest's office.

The People Bring Their Offerings

20 Then all the congregation of the sons of Israel departed from Moses’ presence.

20 And all the congregation of the children of Israel departed from the presence of Moses.

20 Then the entire Israelite community left Moses’ presence.

20 Then the entire congregation of the Israelis withdrew from Moses' presence,

20 Then all the congregation of the Israelites left Moses’ presence.

21 (R)Everyone whose heart (s)stirred him and everyone whose spirit (t)moved him came and brought the Lord’s (u)contribution for the work of the tent of meeting and for all its service and for the holy garments.

21 And they came, every one whose heart stirred him up, and every one whom his spirit made willing, and they brought the LORD'S offering to the work of the tabernacle of the congregation, and for all his service, and for the holy garments.

21 Everyone whose heart was moved and whose spirit prompted him came and brought an offering to the Lord for the work on the tent of meeting, for all its services, and for the holy garments.(G)

21 and every person whose heart moved him and all whose spirits prompted them, brought an offering to the LORD for constructing the Tent of Meeting, for all its service, and for the holy garments.

21 Everyone whose heart stirred him and everyone whose spirit moved him came and brought the Lord’s offering to be used for the Tent of Meeting, for all its service, and for the holy garments.

22 Then all (v)whose hearts moved them, both men and women, came and brought brooches and (w)earrings and signet rings and bracelets, all articles of gold; so did every man who (x)presented an offering of gold to the Lord.

22 And they came, both men and women, as many as were willing hearted, and brought bracelets, and earrings, and rings, and tablets, all jewels of gold: and every man that offered offered an offering of gold unto the LORD.

22 Both men and women came; all who had willing hearts brought brooches, earrings, rings, necklaces, and all kinds of gold jewelry—everyone who waved a presentation offering of gold to the Lord.

22 Both the men and women came all whose hearts prompted them and brought brooches, earrings, rings, pendants, and all kinds of gold jewelry. Every person presented a wave offering of gold to the LORD.

22 Then all whose hearts moved them, both men and women, came and brought brooches, earrings or nose rings, signet rings, and necklaces, all jewels of gold; everyone bringing an offering of gold to the Lord.

23 Every man, (y)who had in his possession (z)blue and purple and scarlet material and fine linen and goats’ hair and rams’ skins (aa)dyed red and porpoise skins, brought them.

23 And every man, with whom was found blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine linen, and goats' hair, and red skins of rams, and badgers' skins, brought them.

23 Everyone who had in his possession blue, purple, or scarlet yarn,(H) fine linen or goat hair, ram skins dyed red or manatee skins,(d) brought them.

23 Everyone who had blue, purple, and scarlet material, fine linen, goat hair, ram skins dyed red, and dolphin skins brought them.

23 Every man who had in his possession blue or purple or scarlet fabric, and fine linen, and goats’ hair, and (e)rams’ skins dyed red and (f)porpoise skins, brought them.

24 Everyone who could make a (ab)contribution of silver and (ac)bronze brought the Lord’s (ad)contribution; and every man (ae)who had in his possession acacia wood for any work of the service brought it.

24 Every one that did offer an offering of silver and brass brought the LORD'S offering: and every man, with whom was found shittim wood for any work of the service, brought it.

24 Everyone making an offering of silver or bronze brought it as a contribution to the Lord. Everyone who possessed acacia wood useful for any task in the work brought it.

24 Everyone who could give an offering of silver and bronze brought it as a contribution for the LORD. Also all who had acacia wood for any use in the work brought it.

24 Everyone who could make an offering of silver or bronze brought it as the Lord’s offering; every man who had in his possession acacia wood for any work of the service brought it.

25 All the (af)skilled women spun with their hands, and brought what they had spun, in (ag)blue and purple and scarlet material and in fine linen.

25 And all the women that were wise hearted did spin with their hands, and brought that which they had spun, both of blue, and of purple, and of scarlet, and of fine linen.

25 Every skilled(e) woman(I) spun yarn with her hands and brought it: blue, purple, and scarlet yarn, and fine linen.

25 Every skilled woman spun with her hands, and brought what she had spun: blue, purple, and scarlet material, and fine linen.

25 All the skilled and talented women spun thread with their hands, and brought what they had spun, blue and purple and scarlet fabric and fine linen.

26 All the women whose heart (ah)stirred with a skill spun the goats’ hair.

26 And all the women whose heart stirred them up in wisdom spun goats' hair.

26 And all the women whose hearts were moved spun the goat hair by virtue of their skill.

27 The rulers brought the onyx stones and the stones for setting for the ephod and for the (ai)breastpiece;

29 The (aj)Israelites, all the men and women, whose heart (ak)moved them to bring material for all the work, which the Lord had commanded through Moses to be done, brought a (T)freewill offering to the Lord.

29 The children of Israel brought a willing offering unto the LORD, every man and woman, whose heart made them willing to bring for all manner of work, which the LORD had commanded to be made by the hand of Moses.

29 So the Israelites brought a freewill offering to the Lord, all the men and women whose hearts prompted them to bring something for all the work that the Lord, through Moses, had commanded to be done.(L)

29 Each Israeli man and woman whose heart was prompted brought something as a freewill offering to the LORD for all the work that the LORD had commanded them to do through Moses.

29 The Israelites, all the men and women whose heart moved them to bring material for all the work which the Lord had commanded through Moses to be done, brought a freewill (voluntary) offering to the Lord.

Bezalel And Oholiab

30 (U)Then Moses said to the sons of Israel, “See, the Lord has called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah.

30 And Moses said unto the children of Israel, See, the LORD hath called by name Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah;

30 Moses(M) then said to the Israelites: “Look, the Lord has appointed by name Bezalel son of Uri, son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah.

30 Moses told the Israelis, "Look, the LORD has called Uri's son Bezalel, grandson of Hur, from the tribe of Judah,

30 Then Moses said to the Israelites, “See, the Lord called by name Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah;

31 And He has filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding and in knowledge and in all (al)craftsmanship;

31 And he hath filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship;

31 He has filled him with God’s Spirit, with wisdom, understanding, and ability in every kind of craft

31 and he has filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, with understanding, and with knowledge of all kinds of work,

31 and He has filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom and skill, with intelligence and understanding, and with knowledge in all [areas of] craftsmanship,

32 (am)to make designs for working in gold and in silver and in (an)bronze,

32 And to devise curious works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass,

32 to design artistic works in gold, silver, and bronze,

32 to make artistic designs, to work in gold, silver, and bronze,

32 to devise artistic designs to work in gold, silver, and bronze,

33 and in the cutting of stones for settings and in the carving of wood, so as to perform in every inventive work.

33 And in the cutting of stones, to set them, and in carving of wood, to make any manner of cunning work.

33 to cut gemstones for mounting, and to carve wood for work in every kind of artistic craft.

33 to cut stones for setting, to carve wood, and to engage in all kinds of artistic work.

33 and in the cutting of stones for setting and in the carving of wood, for work in every skilled craft.

34 He also has put in his heart to teach, both he and (V)Oholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan.

34 And he hath put in his heart that he may teach, both he, and Aholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan.

34 He has also given both him and Oholiab son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan, the ability to teach others.

34 And he has given both him and Ahisamach's son Oholiab from the tribe of Dan the ability to teach.

34 He has also put in Bezalel’s heart [the willingness] to teach [others the same skills], both he and Oholiab, son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan.

35 (W)He has filled them with (ao)skill to perform every work of an engraver and of a designer and of an embroiderer, in (ap)blue and in purple and in scarlet material, and in fine linen, and of a weaver, as performers of every work and makers of designs.

35 Them hath he filled with wisdom of heart, to work all manner of work, of the engraver, and of the cunning workman, and of the embroiderer, in blue, and in purple, in scarlet, and in fine linen, and of the weaver, even of them that do any work, and of those that devise cunning work.

35 He has filled them with skill(f) to do all the work(N) of a gem cutter; a designer; an embroiderer in blue, purple, and scarlet yarn and fine linen; and a weaver. They can do every kind of craft and design artistic designs. >

35 He has equipped them to do all kinds of work done by an engraver, designer, embroider in blue, purple and scarlet material and in fine linen, or as a weaver. They were able to do all kinds of work and were skilled designers.

35 He has filled them with skill to do the work of an engraver, of a designer, and of an embroiderer, in blue, purple, and scarlet fabric, and in fine linen, and of a weaver; makers of every work and embroiderers of [excellent] designs.
