Nevertheless my eye spared them, and I did not destroyed them, nor did I make a full end of them in the wilderness.

But I worked for my name's sake (that it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations, among which they were, in whose sight I made myself known to them) in bringing them forth out of the land of Egypt.

For thy name's sake, O LORD, pardon my iniquity, for it is great.

Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of thy name. And deliver us, and forgive our sins, for thy name's sake.

Not to us, O LORD, not to us, but to thy name give glory. For thy loving kindness, and for thy truth's sake.

For my name's sake I will defer my anger, and for my praise I will refrain for thee, that I not cut thee off.

Though our iniquities testify against us, work thou for thy name's sake, O LORD. For our backslidings are many. We have sinned against thee.

Now therefore, O our God, hearken to the prayer of thy servant, and to his supplications, and cause thy face to shine upon thy sanctuary that is desolate, for LORD's sake.
