"Son of man, set your face toward the Ammonites and prophesy against them.

Thus says the Lord GOD: Because the enemy said of you, 'Aha!' and, 'The ancient heights have become our possession,'

They open wide their mouths against me; they say, "Aha, Aha! Our eyes have seen it!"

Let those be appalled because of their shame who say to me, "Aha, Aha!"

Let them turn back because of their shame who say, "Aha, Aha!"

For behold, your enemies make an uproar; those who hate you have raised their heads.

The gates

How lonely sits the city that was full of people! How like a widow has she become, she who was great among the nations! She who was a princess among the provinces has become a slave.

Now there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men from every nation under heaven.

I will give it along with the Ammonites to the people of the East as a possession, that the Ammonites may be remembered no more among the nations,
