The king asked him: Did we make you an adviser to the king? Stop! Do you want me to have you killed? The prophet stopped. He said: I know that God has decided to destroy you because you did this. Yet you refuse to listen to my advice.

He who is often reprimanded and hardens his neck will suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy.

I set watchmen over you. I said: 'Listen to the sound of the trumpet! But they said: 'We will not listen!'

You are making a fatal mistake. You asked me to pray to Jehovah our God for you, and you promised that you would do everything that he commands.

Jehovah was very angry with your fathers.

Be doers of the word, and not hearers only, who deceive themselves.

His blood

They heard the sound of the horn but ignored its warning. In that case they are responsible for their own deaths. If they had taken the warning they would have saved themselves.

He lends money for interest and makes excessive profits. Will this person live? He will not live. He has done all these disgusting things. So he must die, and he will be responsible for his own death.

Jehovah gave the following regulations. Any of you that curse your father or mother shall be put to death. You are responsible for your own death.

David said to him: Your blood is on your head. Your mouth has testified against you. For you admit that you killed Jehovah's anointed.

If you ever leave and go beyond Kidron Brook, you will die and it will be your fault.
