But, all that have not fins and scales, in the seas and in the rivers, of all that swarm in the waters, and of all the living souls that are in the waters, an abomination, they are unto you;

a model of any thing that creepeth on the ground, - a model of any fish that is in the waters beneath the earth;

Thou shalt not eat any abominable thing.

Thus will I recompense, first, twofold, their iniquity and their sin, because of their profaning my land, - with the carcase of their disgusting and detestable things, have they filled mine inheritance.
