Wherefore as truly as I live, sayeth the LORD God, seeing thou hast defiled my Sanctuary with all manner of abominations and with all thy shameful offenses: For this cause will I also destroy thee. Mine eye shall not oversee thee, neither will I spare thee.
Mine eye shall not oversee thee, neither will I spare thee: but reward thee according to thy ways, and declare thy abominations. Then shall ye know that I am the LORD.
And to the other, he said that I might hear, "Go ye after him through the city: slay, oversee none, spare none,
Should I make my wrath to be still, take my jealousy from thee, be content, and no more to be displeased?
Thy filthiness is abominable, for I would have cleansed thee, but thou wouldest not be cleansed. Thou canst not be purged from thine uncleanness, till I have poured my wrathful indignation upon thee.
The LORD is a jealous God, and a taker of vengeance: yea, a taker of vengeance is the LORD, and wrathful. The LORD taketh vengeance of his enemies, and reserveth displeasure for his adversaries.

And though

And for all that, ye have forsaken me, and serve strange gods, wherefore I will help you no more.
Then shall they call upon me, but I will not hear: they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me.
When ye hold out your hands, I will turn my eyes from you. And though ye make many prayers, yet will I hear nothing at all; for your hands are full of blood.
But your misdeeds have separated you from your God, and your sins hide his face from you, that he heareth you not.
"Therefore thus sayeth the LORD: Behold, I will send a plague among you, which ye shall not be able to escape: and though ye cry unto me, I will not hear you.
For though they fast, I will not hear their prayers. And though they offer burnt offerings and sacrifices, yet will not I accept them. For I will destroy them with the sword, hunger, and pestilence."
Now the time shall come, that when they call unto the LORD, he shall not hear them, but hide his face from them, because that through their own Imaginations they have dealt so wickedly.
And thus is it come to pass, that like as he spake and they would not hear: "Even so, they cried and I would not hear, sayeth the LORD of Hosts,
When the good man of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, ye shall begin to stand without, and to knock at the door saying, 'Lord, Lord, open unto us.' And he shall answer and say unto you, 'I know you not whence ye are.'
