Mighty kings

And Solomon reigned over all kingdoms from the river to the land of the Philistines, and to the border of Egypt: they brought presents, and served Solomon all the days of his life.

And David smote Hadarezer king of Zobah to Hamath, as he went to establish his dominion by the river Euphrates.

He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, and from the river to the ends of the earth.

We certify the king that, if this city shall be built again, and its walls set up, by this means thou wilt have no portion on this side of the river.

In that same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, To thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the river Euphrates:

Then David put garrisons in Syria-damascus; and the Syrians became David's servants, and brought gifts. Thus the LORD preserved David whithersoever he went.

And when the servants of Hadarezer saw that they were defeated before Israel, they made peace with David, and became his servants: neither would the Syrians help the children of Ammon any more.

Besides that which chapmen and merchants brought. And all the kings of Arabia and governors of the country brought gold and silver to Solomon.

Also some of the Philistines brought Jehoshaphat presents, and tribute silver; and the Arabians brought him flocks, seven thousand and seven hundred rams, and seven thousand and seven hundred he-goats.

And God helped him against the Philistines, and against the Arabians that dwelt in Gur-baal, and the Mehunims.
