Paul wanted this man to accompany him; and he took him and circumcised him because of the Jews who were in those places, for they all knew that his father was a Greek.

Why

But as at that time he who was born according to the flesh persecuted him who was born according to the Spirit, so it is now.

Those who want to make a good showing in the flesh try to compel you to be circumcised, and only in order that they may not be persecuted for the cross of Christ.

and they have been told about you that you teach all the Jews who are among the Gentiles to forsake Moses, telling them not to circumcise their children or to walk according to the customs.

And he said to me, 'Go; for I will send you far away to the Gentiles.'"

There were more than forty who formed this plot.

Why are we also in danger every hour?

Are they servants of Christ? I am a better oneI am talking like a madmanin far more labors, in far more imprisonments, with more beatings, and often in danger of death.

The offence

Why? Because they did not pursue it by faith, but as if it were by works. They have stumbled over the stumbling stone,

For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

and, "A stone that causes men to stumble and a rock that makes them fall;" they stumble because they disobey the wordas they were desstined to do.
