Galatians 6:13

Treasury of Scripture Knowledge

For neither they themselves who are circumcised keep the law; but desire to have you circumcised, that they may glory in your flesh.

Therefore do whatever they tell you, and observe it. But don’t do what they do, because they don’t practice what they teach.

Now if you call yourself a Jew, and rest in the law, boast in God,

What then? Are we any better? Not at all! For we have previously charged that both Jews and Gentiles

are all under sin,

They promise them freedom, but they themselves are slaves of corruption, since people are enslaved to whatever defeats them.

So no one should boast in human leaders, for everything is yours—

Your boasting is not good. Don’t you know that a little yeast permeates the whole batch of dough?

Since many boast in an unspiritual way, I will also boast.

They tie up heavy loads that are hard to carry and put them on people’s shoulders, but they themselves aren’t willing to lift a finger to move them.

But new wine should be put into fresh wineskins.

in order that, as it is written: The one who boasts must boast in the Lord.

So the one who boasts must boast in the Lord.
