If

But from those reputed to be something (whatever they were, it matters not to me: God does not accept man's person): to me, in fact, those of repute added nothing;

The Pharisee, having taken his stand, was praying these things with himself: 'God, I thank Thee that I am not as the rest of men, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this tax-collector!

For I say, through the grace that was given to me, to every one among you, not to think of himself more highly than he night to think, but so to think as to think soberly, according as God divided to each one a measure of faith.

Let no one deceive himself. If any one among you thinks that he is wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may become wise.

If anyone thinks that he has known anything, not yet did he know it as he ought to know it;

not that we are sufficient of ourselves to reckon anything as from ourselves, but our sufficiency is of God;

I have become foolish; ye compelled me; for I ought to be commended by you; for in nothing was I inferior to the most eminent apostles, even if I am nothing.

He deceiveth

Let no one deceive himself. If any one among you thinks that he is wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may become wise.

But evil men and imposters will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.

And become doers of the word, and not hearers only, deluding yourselves.

If we say, "We have no sin," we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
