And you shall go to your fathers in peace; you shall be buried in a good old age.

You shall come to your grave in a full age, like a shock of grain comes in in its season.

I am a stranger and a sojourner with you: give me a possession of a burying place with you, that I may bury my dead out of my sight.

And after this, Abraham buried Sarah his wife in the cave of the field of Machpelah before Mamre: the same is Hebron in the land of Canaan.

And these are the days of the years of Abraham's life which he lived, a hundred three score and fifteen years.

And Isaac breathed his last, and died, and was gathered unto his people, being old and full of days: and his sons Esau and Jacob buried him.

And he charged them, and said unto them, I am to be gathered unto my people: bury me with my fathers in the cave that is in the field of Ephron the Hittite,

There they buried Abraham and Sarah his wife; there they buried Isaac and Rebekah his wife; and there I buried Leah.

For his sons carried him into the land of Canaan, and buried him in the cave of the field of Machpelah, which Abraham bought with the field for a possession of a burying place from Ephron the Hittite, before Mamre.

Aaron shall be gathered unto his people: for he shall not enter into the land which I have given unto the children of Israel, because you rebelled against my word at the water of Meribah.

And when you have seen it, you also shall be gathered unto your people, as Aaron your brother was gathered.

And also all that generation were gathered unto their fathers: and there arose another generation after them, who knew not the LORD, nor yet the works which he had done for Israel.

So when David was old and full of days, he made Solomon his son king over Israel.

And he died in a good old age, full of days, riches, and honor: and Solomon his son reigned in his stead.

Behold, I will gather you to your fathers, and you shall be gathered to your grave in peace, neither shall your eyes see all the evil that I will bring upon this place, and upon its inhabitants. So they brought the king word again.

So Job died, being old and full of days.

Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace.

If a man begets a hundred children, and lives many years, so that the days of his years are many, and his soul is not filled with good, and also that he has no burial; I say, that a stillborn birth is better than he.

Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.

The righteous perishes, and no man lays it to heart: and merciful men are taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil to come.

At that time, says the LORD, they shall bring out the bones of the kings of Judah, and the bones of his princes, and the bones of the priests, and the bones of the prophets, and the bones of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, out of their graves:

But go you your way till the end: for you shall rest, and stand in your allotted place at the end of the days.

I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.

For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell asleep, and was laid with his fathers, and saw corruption:

For when God made a promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he swore by himself,

These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and exiles on the earth.
