Genesis 17:15

And God said to Abraham, As for Sarai thy wife, thou shall not call her name Sarai, but her name shall be Sarah.

Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham, for I have made thee the father of a multitude of nations.

And he said, Thy name shall no more be called Jacob, but Israel, for thou have striven with God and with men, and have prevailed.

and he sent by the hand of Nathan the prophet. And he called his name Jedidiah, for LORD's sake.
